Giant Toad Measuring 2.7 Kg Found in Australia and Given the Nickname Toadzilla, Immediate Injection Dies















 


A giant cane toad (cane toad or Rhinella marina) found in Queensland, Australia. This animal weighs 2.7 kilograms and is recorded as the largest cane toad.

A jumbo-sized cane toad was also found in Australia in 1991 weighing 2.65 kilograms.

This animal is euthanized because it is an invasive animal that damages the environment. "Cane toads that big will eat anything they can fit into their mouths, including insects, reptiles and small mammals, Gray said.

The cane toad is native to South and Central America.

This animal was released in Queensland in 1935 to control beetle pests.
