This is the extremely rare species of box jellyfish (Chirodectes) that has only been seen twice in history

Image
A diver off the coast of Papua New Guinea captured footage of a rare and stunning box jellyfish. The spectacular sighting is extremely rare as this species has only been documented twice. The beautiful jellyfish, which was first recorded on video, has four striped tentacle clusters trailing behind its transparent body. It has a bright red center ring and is called Chirodectes maculatus. This is a very rare and elusive species of box jellyfish. "Saw a new species of jellyfish while diving today. It has cool markings and is a little bigger than a soccer ball, and they swim quite fast," the video's description was quoted by SINDOnews from Petapixel on Wednesday (31/8/2022). Most box jellyfish are known to be venomous to humans, and some are even highly toxic, but it is unknown whether this particular species is dangerous. It was first discovered in 2005 by an Australian scientific team who captured one in 1997 and ...

rare video, the researcher managed to record medium plant breathe

Image
Biologists have captured the moment a plant is breathing. The close-up video was captured by experts from the University of California San Diego while researching with a National Service Foundation grant. In the video, plants can be seen using their stomata, which are known as the 'mouths of plants', to inhale carbon dioxide. Clearly exposed, stomata open and close slowly. This research also provides additional knowledge and information to address the problem of crop failure which is a noisy threat to hunger in the world. "Researchers hope that leveraging this mechanism could lead to future efficient engineering of plant water use and carbon intake, which is important as atmospheric carbon dioxide concentrations continue to increase," said National Science Foundation spokesman Jared. Dashoff, published by the New York Post, Sunday (29/1/2023). "When the stomata are open, the inside of the plant is exposed to the elements, and water from the plant is lost to the...

do you know If It turns out that clams have a 'tongue' to move

Image
Clams are one of the marine animals that you may often consume. However, have you ever seen this mollusk walking? Scallops have soft tissue inside the shell that functions as legs so they can move. At first glance, this tissue looks like a tongue. With this thing, the clam can analyze the best place to live. Typically, mussels settle in fine sandy locations and bury themselves. Clams themselves don't have a brain. The only organs it has are the kidneys, heart, mouth, and anus. Scallops also do not have bl ood vessels. The oxygen supply comes from very liquid blood which is rich in nutrients and oxygen which covers the organs. All claims are male when young. However, some will become females as they age. In the video, it appears that the cat is looking at the yellow slide carefully at first. In curiosity, he began to climb up to the top of the slide. As if he understood how to play, he immediately turned around and lay down, mak ing him slide straight down. Because it was fun, he then returned to repeat the action several times.
