This article outlines the steps of getting from a virtual tribe of a few friends to a Type 1 Civilization. The concept of a Type 1 Civilization is something that's been around for a long time but is currently growing in popularity.

In 2009, I created the Type 1 Civilization blog to chronicle my journey to being a Type 1, Type 1.5, or Type 2 diabetic.  I share my experiences, successes, failures, and lessons learned.
