If a spider can conquer an island, imagine what it could do to our cities. Spider Island is the story of what happened when a spider infestation brought a team of entomologists to the US territory of Guam, and how they were able to conquer it.

Spider Island, a coral atoll in the western Pacific, has been invaded by a red imported fire ant that moved from the mainland more than 30 years ago.  Its presence is threatening the survival of the island's native bird life.


This invasive species took over an island in the Pacific, and it's threatening the entire region.
