what is the largest object in the universe?

And our Sun is more than a million Earths in size. But, what is the largest object in our universe? At first, astronomers thought that our galaxy cluster is the largest structure or object in the universe.

But it wasn't until the 1980s that astronomers realized that a cluster of galaxies (including our galaxy cluster) is gravitationally bound and connected to other galaxy clusters in structures called galaxy superclusters.

The largest known supercluster in the universe is the Hercules-Corona Borealis Great Wall. This supercluster was first reported to exist in 2013 and has been studied several times by different international teams of astronomers.

This supercluster is so large, its diameter is estimated to be 10 billion light years! For perspective, the observable universe is “only” 13.7 billion years in diameter. The unusually large supercluster was first observed by a team of astronomers led by Istvan Horvath, of the National University of Public Service in Hungary.

At that time, they were looking at a brief cosmic phenomenon known as a gamma-ray burst. Gamma-ray bursts are considered a good indication of where large-mass objects are in the universe, because large stars tend to congregate in denser regions.

The first survey showed the gamma rays were mainly concentrated about 10 billion light-years away in the direction of the constellations Hercules and Corona Borealis. So, are you still feeling great about saying the universe and outer space are fake or just bullshit?

We are just tiny creatures, very very small, living on a planet called Earth which is also small compared to the big structures in the universe.
